Challenge
Katrine Saksgård Holdhus, E-commerce Manager at Skanem, reached out to me about wanting a label designer. For their project labelize.com Skanem were in need of over hundred label templates in various styles. Labelize.com is an online platform were you as a customer can order high quality labels – just the way you want them – read more on their site. You can browse templates, upload designs or design labels from scratch. Skanem wanted label templates designed for different categories like for example:
- Seasonal – Christmas, New year, summer, et c
- Corporate events – annual meetings, grand opening, kick-offs, et c
- Celebration – wedding, birthday, confirmation, baptism, et c
- Sports – Football, Bicycling, Gymnastics, Competitions, et c
Every design were created for a few different sizes – for example suitable for wine bottles or invitation cards.
Solution
For the different categories I created several concepts. For Wedding I believe we designed ten final design templates – all in different styles and look and feel – and all customizable by Skanem’s customers. In total I designed over 100 label templates.
We asked Björn to help us on several different projects related to graphic design, and he delivered brilliantly! I am a graphic designer myself, and it was a pleasure to work with him as he is flexible, open for trying out multiple ideas, tidy, fast and overall a good designer. This, and the fact that he is a positive and friendly person, makes working together a great experience.”
